Packaging Technician || 6 months w2 contract || CPG Direct Client || Bridgewater, NJ

Pay rate : $28/hr. on w2

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ASTM standardized package testing using the Packaging Lab equipment. Including, but not limited to: leak testing, packaging material dimensional analysis (optical comparator, magna mike, etc.), Instron tests (seal strength, etc), Southerland Rub Test for Labels, etc. Training can be provided.
• Prepare and maintain Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) for packaging lab equipment
• Coordinate equipment annual equipment calibration with equipment vendors.
• Coordinate potential equipment repair with vendors
• Perform administrative tasks for Packaging R&D Team:

• Serve as Packaging Stability Test Coordinator (sample labeling, system data entry, coordinate external lab analysis)
• Complete purchase orders (PO)
• Receive In PO invoices

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working in a lab environment
• Packaging Lab experience not required, but preferred

Education:

• High School diploma. Associate degree preferred.

Skills:

• Good PC skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Good verbal and written skills
• Comfortable working in a lab environment alone
• Proactive communicator
